Donna Laird

General Manager

My name is Donna Laird I have been a care home Registered Manager since 2005.   I hold a Registered Manager Award as well as an NVQ5 in Health and Social Care.

I pride myself on my ability to create warm, welcoming and safe environments for residents as well as for staff.  Places where people want to live, and people want to work.

My vision is to deliver Outstanding Dementia, Residential and Nursing care and this is my commitment to all those who choose Mayfield View Care home.

Cyd Akrill MBE

Head of Operations

Cyd is a RMN with significant experience in practice and management within large corporate health and social care organisations. Having successfully managed care homes, care villages and regional operations in previous roles, Cyd has joined Springfield with the objective to develop and deliver the highest quality consistent care within our region.

Quality & Compliance Manager

Katie is a registered nurse who has also been a home manager, and latterly was responsible at a regional level for quality and compliance within care homes operated by Four Seasons. Having joined in August 2017, she is bringing her experience of trouble shooting and achieving high standards within the CQC framework to Springfield.

Nikki-Lee-Clarke

Nikki Lee-Clarke

Head of Specialist Services

Nikki, with her degree qualification and experience in supported education, provides specialist support principally to our working age adults with disabilities or life limiting illnesses, helping them to live lives as independently as possible. She liaises with relatives, healthcare professionals and specialist organisations as well as the legal community responsible for handling trusts in order to ensure that every possible care need is met.

Medications Manager

Julie is a qualified pharmacy technician who has joined Springfield from Four Seasons where she was responsible for producing and supporting standard operating procedures relating to medications across the group. Within this role she liaised with practice managers, GPs and service providers in addition to training staff to meet and exceed best practice across all areas of medication. Prior to that, Julie spent many years with the NHS as a team leader and link trainer for York NHS inpatient Pharmacy for many years

Ellie Billany

Training & Development Manager

Ellie has undertaken a complete review of all aspects of training and development within Springfield Care Villages in order that all care is delivered to the highest quality standards, is consistent, and is person-centred. She has launched a comprehensive on-line training programme to support staff. Previously Ellie worked within Occupational Therapy in the NHS and has worked for Barchester and Four Seasons in Training roles.

Nicola Murphy

Clinical Development Nurse

Nicola has worked as a nurse with Springfield since March 2017, and in previous roles with large care providers has undertaken specialist work with pilot programmes and projects relating to providing best possible end of life care. Nicola supports our clinical leads in our communities across all homes and reports to Katie Capes, Quality & Compliance Manager.
